Excitement about the NEW Brooks Transcend Mounts!

Why are we excited about the Transcend? The brand-new Brooks Transcend is exciting for a number of reasons.

First, any time our most popular footwear vendor, Brooks, puts this much effort in to the design and marketing of a new shoe – we listen. Shoes like the Ravenna and Pure Cadence in recent years have transformed the industry.

Second, the Transcend will incorporate several new features and design philosophies that we expect to see in more Brooks shoes in the future. Features like the Guide Rail system (which helps to align and guide the foot without a traditional medial post) and Super DNA cushioning (Brooks claims this will be their most cushioned shoe ever) will lead us in to the next generation of performance footwear.

Lastly, we’re excited to have so many features and technology in a stable shoe – a protective shoe that more of us can run in than recent innovative shoes that have tended to be on the minimal side and not appropriate (for most) as a primary shoe – including Brooks’ own Pure Project lineup. It’s about time someone made a flashy, innovative shoe that you can wear for every run and count on to cushion and protect mile after mile.

Since it's launch, we have found that the shoe is made to be the ultimate cushion from Brooks running. It features a "Super-DNA" midsole, giving it the highest concentration of Brooks' patented cushion technology than ever. The real story, however, is the Guide Rails that are a lighter, more effective replacement to the traditional stability "post" that most stability shoes use.

The Guide Rails only activate when necessary, which is meant to not change your stride, but help correct you when your feet start getting tired on longer runs. That also means the shoe is appropriate for neutral all the way through moderate stability runners. All of this is packaged in the most plush, thoughtfully-designed upper ever. This shoe is really made to float you through any amount of running you want! Good STUFF!!
