Every spring, you train hard. You improve your fitness and, hopefully, it pays off on race day. But then comes summer. It's hot. The beach or the pool is calling. You find it hard to get out and get moving. When the fall season rolls around, you're back to square one.
But not this year! Starting June 16, we'll be kicking off our 1st Annual Summer Sweat Challenge, designed to keep you motivated, send you into fall feeling fit and confident, and most of all, be fun!
The Summer Sweat Challenge isn't meant to be a race- or distance-specific training program, but rather an opportunity to connect with other members of the local running community to have a group approach to fitness. All paces and fitness levels are welcome. For every Fleet Feet Sports Baltimore group run you attend (Not a training run), you will receive a point; rewards will be achieved once milestone amounts of workouts have been attended.
The runs that count will include Tuesday and Thursday evening runs from our store, plus any store-sponsored community group run.
After 20 runs participants will earn a SPECIAL printed tech shirt. After 30 runs, participants will earn a $25 Fleet Feet Sports Baltimore gift card and entry into a end of season raffle. Some runs will be worth EXTRA points ... so stay tuned!
The group sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday nights at 4:30pm and 6pm at Fleet Feet Sports Baltimore. SPECIAL THEMED Fun Runs will be announced on Twitter/Facebook/Website and Newsletter... So stay tuned for extra points awared!!
We will provide routes of 3 and 5 miles for the Tuesday/Thursday evening run.
