Job Description:      Fleet Feet Sports, Baltimore is seeking a marketing professional to join its team for a full time position. This candidate will focus on event planning, community and public relations, newsletter and social media writing, as well as being heavily involved in medical outreach to area doctors and corporate outreach to local businesses. This position will report to the owners.

Qualifications:          A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to groups of all sizes.
  • Experience in media relations and public relations
  • Passion for social media and creative marketing
  • Experience in event planning
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field is required
  • 2-3 years of previous marketing experience is required

 

Responsibilities:     This position will have responsibilities in the fields of event planning and marketing, social media, public relations and newsletter writing. The marketing director acts as a part of a team with an overall goal of increasing sales through customer acquisition and customer retention.

The marketing coordinator works some non-traditional hours, such as evenings and weekends, depending on events that take place. Fleet Feet Sports seeks a candidate with a strong work ethic who is willing to go the extra mile to create a great experience for our customers. The marketing director is part of our Fleet Feet Sports Baltimore TEAM which is a fun group environment that allows for creativity and growth.

In addition to the marketing responsibilities, all Fleet Feet Sports employees work the sales floor, helping our customers. This position will have 15 hours per week dedicated to the sales floor to start, with all necessary training done prior to starting in the marketing department.
